RC J Review of Atlanta speech school

I'm writing this review with a heavy heart. For several years, Atlanta Speech School has been recognized as a world class speech school that provides uncompromised services to children with speech and learning delays. Unless Jennifer is a very bad representation of this school, it's important for you to know that Atlanta Speech School uses other qualifying criteria other than the true cognitive abilities of a child. After receiving recommendations from industry professionals, I took my child in for an evaluation. I was denied access to observe Jennifer's assessment of my child. Once the evaluation was over, Jennifer told me that their school was very structured and that my child would not be a "good fit". Her disposition of this explanation was so suspicious that I asked for an observation. A few weeks later, I observed 3 age groups. It's quite interesting that I was able to observe 3 age groups, but not her evaluation of my child. Nonetheless, Jennifer told me that their school was very "structured". As such, I imagined a traditional pedagogical style learning whereby kids are faced one way with a teacher at the front of the class providing the lesson. This place is definitely not like that. In fact, it's very similar to a Montessori. To that end, they really need to work on classroom management style behavior. I saw kids roaming around and even isolated in classrooms. What's most disturbing is the lack of cultural diversity among the students. I asked Jennifer if they work with kids of different nationalities. In her words "We don't work with those". Hearing that was so sickening. If a platinum award exists for discrimination, this place should definitely get it. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!
