They stole money from my account, because of the suspicious activity my bank contacted me asking about transactions, I told them which ones I didn t recognise and luckily got the money back, however, I am now getting emails and letters from this company claiming I owe them money and that they will take me to court. Many sleepless nights over these threatening letters and need to find a way for them to stop.
Before I had done full research I responded to an email explaining fraudulent activity, their response was simply, no that wasn t the case because I was using the email address connected to an account, even after I d explained fraudulent activity had occurred so obviously I d have changed my passwords for everything and also including the fact I was REPLYING to an email so of course the email addresses would match up.
UPDATE: Got another letter from them two days ago claiming they will be taking action. Anyone else who has had issues with them, how did you get the letters to stop? I ve emailed the address on the letter which may well have been a mistake and they used the excuse of, the email address used is the same as mine, which I ve already mentioned above, but now they ve claimed that because the password used was my name, that is further proof that it was me who made an account. Why would I use my name as a password? I have a variety of different passwords I use for different things, for example, email, Facebook, twitter etc and none of the passwords match up to what they have given as the one used.
If anyone has been successful in stopping the harassment I would appreciate some advice. Thank you
