Ive been coming on & off for 12yrs since my dog was a puppy. The vet is incredibly rude & disconnected to the community he serves. Bedside manner was always standoffish, but tonite took the cake! I came because he had a mild neck wound w/ concerns about his ongoing cognitive issues since it caused neck injury. Instead of providing empathy & patience to listen to my concerns, he dismissed them only saying he needs a different diet & socialization. I tried to explain to him his behaviors & my concerns, and he said "Im not dog psychiatrist". Then we discussed how yes, I sanction him off (not a cage, but entire foyer) in order to control his hair as he sheds ALOT. He insulted my intelligence by not only assuming I haven't tried MULTIPLE options regarding his hair throughout his life span. He also said 'if you're not going to socialize him, if I was a dog I would want to be put to sleep'. wow. I just had a major death less than 3 mos ago, and I constantly worry about if/when I'll put my "puppy" to sleep. Then he says this incredibly hurt & rude statement to me tonite! I was going to let it go, but he had nerve to write d/c note about I should vacuum daily, get a dog bed or sheet by me to socialize him with an emphasis that he has 2 german sheds (underlined) as if that's supposed to make me feel better. IMO he assumed I don't clean my house. I still can't believe I had this encounter over the phone with him. Much BETTER experience with VERG, and Im need to find me a Black vet soon. I rarely do this, but the community should know about this facility. I see there are several who also had unsatisfied experiences as well. Unprofessionalism was confirmed as they try hard to dispute all negative reviews vs showing empathy & understanding.
