I was in the market to buy a new 4Runner. Was given pricing in writing by salesman, Jason Modugno. When I was able to make it to their dealership, after a two our drive in heavy traffic, they were sold out of what I wanted. The salesman knew I was on way and I asked him to check stock so he knew what they had when I got there. He checked and did not call back to let me know they did not have SR5 4x4 in stock, Deceptive. He just wanted me there to try to close a sale, but not by being transparent.

He then tried to work out pricing on another trim line, XP model, but price was $3,000 higher than previously committed price.

Jason then said he could order in the model priced and keep everything the same, but he was going to charge me $200 for the locate to bring the car in. I agreed and initialed the pricing and he went to get it approved.

When he returned he said he couldn't get it approved and it was going to cost more, it was $600 more. He then said we could get it down by reducing the tag fees, but it was still more than $500 high.

I said I will pay the price you quoted me, plus the $200 locate fee and not a penny more. He wouldn't, so we were done. I drove straight to Gettel Lakewood Toyota in Bradenton, FL and bought the same vehicle, for the same price Jason at Sun Toyota originally offered, LESS another $250, to beat competitor pricing.

If you won't honor a price you gave in writing, then you are not worthy of my business. I RECOMMEND YOU STAY AWAY! Give Gettel Toyota Lakewood your business, they keep their word!!!
