Overall I had a positive experience purchasing a car at Sun Toyota. I worked with Nicholas Nardello, who was very knowledgeable and able to answer all of my questions. He was friendly but genuine, not pushy at all, and he really worked with me to get me a great car that fits my budget. I honestly can't say enough about him. I left with a gorgeous 2018 Honda Civic and I couldn't be happier! I gave 4 stars because of two disappointments. One is that there was a group of 4-5 employees smoking cigarettes right in front of the building near the entrance. I asked Nicholas if that is normal and he said they should be in the designated smoking area in the back of the building. I found that to be incredibly unprofessional. The other disappointment was with Max, who helped me with financing. At one point, I felt that he was not being transparent with me. When I confronted him, his attitude soured for the rest of the transaction. It was awkward because there is so much waiting during that part of the buying process. Instead of being able to make small talk, there was a silent negative energy hanging in the air. I told him at the beginning that I was a bit anxious because I don't have a lot of experience buying and financing cars. I wish he had done more to make me feel comfortable. When you work with people, you have to be able to maintain a positive attitude, even when dealing with a difficult client or situation. At the end of the day, I was very happy with the loan and interest rate Max was able to set me up with.
