Families come out to picnic and walk their dogs. There is a waterway and you can rent kayaks, paddle boats, or take a gondola (with a singing gondolier) out into the water. On the property you will find a place selling beignets -24 hours a day. You will find the best museum in New Orleans. It is free for residents of LA on Wednesday. You will find a miniature golf course, amusement park, and more in walking distance.
