What makes a school is the teachers and the office staff. Look at the test scores on the Washington State Education website, when compared to other schools in the atrea, it's the worst for high schools. However the look of the school is exceptional.

My first experience with the Attendance office staff was maddening, strange, and odd. I picked up my kids to take them to lunch. Upon returning them to the school from our lunch I realized they would not be able to make it to class in time before the ball rang. Realizing this I didn't want them to be tardy without an excuse, so, we visited the Attendance office.

The Attendance office staff member would not give my kids a tardy excuse although me as their parents was right there with them explaining the reason for their tardy.

Now I had to get innovative.

The only way I was able to alleviate them being tardy was to sign them out of school, wait until the tardy bell rang, and then have them sign back into school.

Now they weren't considered tardy???? No wonder student test scores are low here.
