The Department of Biological Sciences at UMBC has exceeded my expectations in every way. The faculty are not only experts in their respective fields but also caring mentors who are always available to guide and assist students. The coursework is rigorous, but it prepares students well for future careers in biology. The department also fosters a collaborative and inclusive community, encouraging teamwork and innovation. I am proud to be a part of the Department of Biological Sciences at UMBC and highly recommend it to aspiring biologists.
