The staff were warm and welcoming and the location...

The staff were warm and welcoming and the location of the hotel to the centre of London and shopping was great.

However the hotel is extremely dated and is in severe need of an uplift in decor throughout. The rooms are small and again need a revamp, they were clean but the decor makes them look and feel dirty. The cleaner is on hand daily but unless you request this facility she will not enter your room or provide more tea, coffee, shower gel, shampoo or towel changes.

We stayed for 3 nights following CV-19 hitting London, this meant that the restaurant was not fully open and breakfast was collected from reception and had to be eaten in your room, the breakfast menu was extremely limited with you only being provided toast, cerial and a brioche bun, a full continental bkfst would have been more acceptable and given the items mentioned above would not really have been much more effort to provide.
Additionally we were checked in for dinner, this was not great and the food provided was processed, tasteless and very cheap. As a result we chose to eat out following the first days meals.

I get the restrictions, but if its not going to be provided freshly cooked meals then remove it from the booking options.

Given the option to stay where again, sadly I would not which is a real shame, given the location to everything around you.
