I bought my wife a 2nd hand Range Rover for our 10 year wedding anniversary, it was suggested that we put a deposit down to make our mind up over the weekend if we wanted the car, as we was looking at others. We was mis-sold that that a deposit was refundable when it wasn t, we decided to go ahead and purchase the car rather than lose our deposit.

The car needed an MOT 4 weeks after we purchased it and it was mutually confirmed that Farnells would pay for the MOT. I am so glad that I asked for this in writing as when I booked the car in for MOT I was told that it wasn t a complimentary MOT and had to produce the email as proof of confirmation

The car went in for MOT which it passed, however much to my disappointment, the car has an Oil Leak and some other issues. I have asked who is liable for paying to get the car sorted and have been fobbed off with It may be covered under the warranty and if I can bring the car back in another months time to get it repaired we will find it then. Despite emailing for clarification, I am still no clearer on who will be picking up the bill for a car I bought that needs work doing on it.

Farrell claims each car goes through an inspection before it leaves the forecourt so I am not sure why nothing was picked up then - we have been on holiday inbeteeen so the car has done less than 35 miles from when we collected it.

Farnells have issued an apology, explained certain circumstances sorted all issues and fixed the car free of cost.
