My Granddaughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabete...

My Granddaughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes last May and told to get her to the ER ASAP by her pediatrician, she was 12 at the time. We rushed her to GBMC , where they in turn, after getting her somewhat stable said that John Hopkins had a bed available and that is the place to be for children with type 1 diabetes, she was transported to them. I can not say enough about how wonderful the Endocrinologist Department is for children. She is doing well with her diabetes and I thank all the wonderful people at John Hopkins that was there for us. A special thank you to Lisa R.
