Galleries Lafayette is the equivalent of Harrods in London and Brown Thomas in Ireland so don't expect to buy unknown brands or cheap Tatt here. It is nevertheless worth the visit as the central dome is a must to see and the terrace roof is great for views over Paris. There are plenty of places for a coffee and bites to eat also, so don't avoid it. I found a jacket I would really like but at 4800 euro my already maxed out credit card said "no".
