This Smithsonian museum holds Galleries 21-30 of the Freer-Sackler Galleries. The two museums are connected by a basement hall, accessible by elevator or stair in either building. The current exhibits include a collection of silver and gold pieces from Iran, a Tibetian temple exhibit, a gallery on the bells of Ancient China (and the properties of their sounds), and Ikats of Central Asia (temporary through July 9th). The Ikat gallery has some beautiful textiles on display; it is definitely worth a visit. On the ground floor there is a gorgeous brass-and string piece which you can walk through. The museum also connects to the National Museum of African Art. The building itself also has some great architectural design.
