I needed to replace my 9 year old laptop a couple of months ago and was overwhelmed with conflicting on-line reviews & sales pitches from the big box stores. North American Computer does not sell computers and via their website, I read that they were willing to help customers in their search for a computer that met their needs. I brought in my old laptop and explained my situation. The owner and another staff member spent well over an hour with me, offering suggestions, printing out specs, checking out my laptop via safe mode, etc with absolutely no agenda, pressure or rush. They were knowledgeable, friendly and extremely helpful. I left, still not certain of what laptop I would purchase but felt much more confident & informed. Eventually I bought an HP laptop online from one of the big box stores and skipped all the pressure to have them do the set up, transfer of files and buy one of their expensive protection plans. Instead, I took it to North American Computer to have them do the set up, remove all the bloat ware and transfer all the files from my external hard drive to the new laptop. When I came to pick it up, the tech guy gave me a wonderful introduction to & tutorial of Windows 10, which I never expected. Every single file was transferred to the hard drive of the new laptop. Their customer service, expertise and authenticity are simply impeccable and I wouldn t hesitate to recommend this local business to anyone.
