Alert!!!- They can increase more than 20% monthly rental during renewal

I moved to Parker Apartments, Plano during the last year and staying in this apartment for more than a year. Recently I have received my lease renewal notice and I am shocked to see that they have increased more than $300 per month for 12 months of lease period which is more than 20% increase in monthly rental. I have stayed in multiple apartments in this area in last 6 years and never have faced that much of increase in the amount with any rental property. I tried to explain my medical condition to management to reconsider the rate of increase in the rent but did not get any help/response from them. Please think before signing any lease with the Morgan group.
