Our family visited Ave de Azul last July and we had a wonderful experience. We loved seeing the birds they have rescued and hearing their stories of the different animals they have rescued. They bring some of the birds out for you to hold and take pictures. We only had a little bit of time to spend here and my kids were sad we couldn't stay longer. They said they wished they could have stayed all day. It's a beautiful place and the couple that run it are so friendly and amazing for the time they sacrifice to care for these animals. It is definitely somewhere that I want to donate money to now that I've seen how it's run!
