I would never recommend taking any loved one to this hospital. Make the drive to St. Francis if time allows. Multiple nurses refused to listen to me. Only a nursing STUDENT took good care of me, delivered my medicines on time, unlike the rn which was always at least an hour late by which point I was rolling around in my own puke from the inmense pain.On Wednesday, I did not see a doctor until almost 24 hours after being in the er, which was not my assigned doctor. I was then the next day visited by another doctor (the dr i shoul have originally seen) who gave me the correct medicine for ruptured cysts (an anti inflammatory instead of the morphine/other pain medicines i repeatedly stated were not taking care of the pain) Flashing back, the problem of ruptured cysts and constipation due to this was diagnosed on Monday. I was sent home the first day I was there with no advice on how to treat my pain. Just take some laxatives youll be fine. I obviously had to return as I was not properly treated and was in pain all day Tuesday until we gave in and returned at 3am Wednesday. On Monday i had to have a cathedar collect a urine sample (why use such a painful process when peeing in a cup would have sufficed) which gave me a uti. I stated that I was aware I had a uti because I get them often and know the feeling. This was ignored by several nurses claiming my wbc was elevated in a sample taken Wednesday, but just because I was throwing up (due to the pain). I asked then why is my bladder spasming? To which the nurse JUST SHRUGS AND SAYS I DONT KNOW. I still remained persistent updating the nurses on how I am very aware that my pain was radiating from my ovaries, not being constipated. I persisted that I had a UTI and needed antibiotics, yet i was ignored. It took two days to get proper medicine for my ruptured cysts, and the uti was of course left untreated as no one would listen to me about what i feel going on in my body, so now I get to go see ANOTHER dr for a uti they caused and refused to treat. This is not the first instance of Glenwood malpractice and negligence, and it will absolutely not be the last.
