Built around 1150s, takes about 4.5 hours to see the whole place, though I would recommend about 5 hours. Recommend taking the Beef Eaters/Yeomans tour (45 mins) where you get a nice briefing of the history of the Castle and wander leisurely through the castle. Salient features of interest in the Castle
1. Crowns Jewels - Fantastic collection needs about 45 mins -1 hour to see it in entirety.
2. White Tower (few stories to climb) with the Armory on top
3. Dungeons (with Torture chambers)
4. couple more towers that were used as prisons
5. Walk around the Castle walls and outside
6. Raven house !
Plenty of history (bloody), do plan spending 5 hours, recommend buying the ticket online (you could spend as much as 20 mins in the queue for tickets). There is a Cafe inside
