We were left disappointed by the Sea Life experience in Birmingham, for two main reasons, as others have touched on here.

One was the small enclosures for the penguins, seals and also the giant turtle. Even if they might meet welfare guidelines, it saddened us to see these animals in such small spaces.

Second was how busy the place was they simply let too many people in. This meant we were shuffling round the whole place, more or less in a long queue, constantly having to wait to see anything, then constantly getting jostled out of the way by the next visitors. They need to reduce the number of people allowed in at any one time, so that you can actually take time to look at each area.
