Well I said I would keep you updated. 2016 Pilot with no AC in AZ now going into week 2. Bought it new. Had NO AC issue worked on here, under warranty. Now I m being told minimum of $3000 to replace a 4year old compressor because it s out of warranty. I ve called Honda USA multiple times and my service rep is out to lunch and he ll get back to me when he can. That was over a week ago. I thought AutoNation was going to provide some customer service when they left a message last Friday that they may help. Then no one returned my phone calls to the number they left. So yesterday I called Honda USA again and escalated my case . No response yet. I ll call AutoNation again today and see if they will return any calls. All of this just to ask what is going on with my AC case! Really? We bought two Honda s at AutoNation in the last few years and we still have a previous Accord we bought new before AutoNation was built. I am really disappointed in Honda. Again I ll keep you up to date on my lovely adventure. If you see a newer pilot driving around with the windows down in the AZ heat and the family inside sweating, that s probably us. But who knows. Maybe someone else is going through the same thing we are. Stay cool. Wish me luck

UPDATE- left messages at both Honda USA AND for the service manager AND the general manager. NO RETUNED CALLS OR ANY INFORMATION on my case. So UNBELIEVABLY disappointed in both Honda AND AutoNation . But They are teaching me how much they care after the sale. I m learning. Maybe you are as well. I ll continue to document my saga.

10/29 update. Tony from Honda USA called yesterday after I AGAIN escalated my case the day before. He gave a half hearted explanation on the OVER TWO WEEK avoidance of my calls, no real apology or concern for me or my family going through this ordeal. During the conversation he told me his car wasn t broken so he it didn t bother him. Nice. He s saying it will take a week and a half to look into my case. Remember this is CUSTOMER SERVICE I am working with. Oh yeah, still no call from AutoNation since they told me someone would call back. I have a feeling this may be a long long story.

11/05 update. Still no call back from AutoNation and still waiting on Tony to do his investigation. Remember, this is their customer service Dept. So you may want to take that into consideration.

11/12/2020 update. Still no contact back from AutoNation. Honda called and said they are still working on it and I was supposed to hear something earlier in the week, but no. It s Thursday evening and, you guessed it, nothing. I really can t believe how bad my experience is. I spent $40,000 on a Honda and here I am.

Well Honda came in with a 80/20 split and the cost was about $5000 so I paid about $1000. Brandon , my new service rep, was excellent. It seems the air has been fixed, but I thought that the first time as well. Hopefully this is the end of my adventure. I m happy enough but not as happy as I would have been if none of this would have happened. Thank you Brandon.
