We stayed here for 2 nights in late February 2020 and the feeling is mixed. On the one hand, there is potential in this hotel, but it lacks guidance. Look through the eyes of customers! Eg. the arrival how difficult can it be. It was 7.30 pm and dark, but due to work on the parking lot we were directed to further but then little to see where and not lit. The receptionist received us neatly and the rooms close together, super. You swallow the way to the rooms, carpet in many places just dirty, walls damaged, too bad. The room looks fine at the start, a pity that the mattress has potholes and here too several damage. And then, you want to open a window ... not. The cooling must come from the air conditioning, resulting in the sound of (loud) blowing throughout the day / evening AND night .... Grrrrr! We have resolved never to go to a hotel where the windows cannot be opened again! A few more compliments: the housekeeping was fine. The staff at breakfast are friendly. On the other hand, the restaurant staff was sloppy and should be more responsive to the wishes of the visit. Especially here you see that the management is not there, too bad that costs your customers. The quality of the food is good.
So overall there is potential in this hotel, but a lot of work and changes have to be made. And regarding the management: open your eyes and look like a guest OR take another job because this is not quality and not worthy of Van der Valk.
