When I arrived at Stansted Airport, I was surprised how compact the airport itself is. I quickly found my way out.
The return trip was a disaster. I was there 2 hours before departure and checked in my luggage. After that I ate a little something and then the big race started. Security checks on a Friday afternoon are anything but efficient. More open switches would help. The staff seemed overwhelmed and a little rude. Then there is the fact that after the security checks a whole "duty-free shopping center" can be found in the shape of a snail, which is horrible for a person with time pressure. Especially if the main route is completely blocked by people interested in shopping.
The best thing was that my boarding pass said "TV" as the gate. Shortly before the people mover caused even more confusion.
Arrived at the gate there were still many people and luckily the boarding went on for some time. Just caught the flight.
Otherwise the toilets are very clean. The airport itself too.
