Our First room (034) was a small and humid basemen...

Our First room (034) was a small and humid basement room. The panels were Bending of from the wall because of humidity.

The panels on the hallway doors were also marked by humidity and the paint on the walls flaked off. Several places on the hallways there were placed scent machines to cover up the humid/moldy scent

Phone did not work in the room, and the power socket at the desk was broken open. Also the bedlam did not work.

At breakfast the milk cooler for the espresso machine did not work, so only American were awailable.

One of the Elevators were also broken during our stay.

This hotel all in all seems very worn down.

We asked. For a room change and was given it. The staff took beautifully care of it while we were out. Our new room was much better. No moldy scent, but there was a little mold between the tiles in the bathroom, but we can manage that.

We booked this hotel because it had a pool, in the morning on our first day, we noticed an out of order sign on the door to the pool. I asked in reception, and the receptionist told me that it should only take a few hours.
After 8-9 hours we cane back to the hotel and wanted to use the pool, but the sign was still on.
We could see that there were other people in the pool, so we went to the reception, to ask how we could get in.
The receptionist told us that we could just use r e women's changingroom. I opposed, and asked what if someone came while we stood naked there.... Then she made a key for a room they had nearby (036), and said we could change there. Then a manager came and asked the receptionist "what if someone is in there?".... He said to us to follow him, and we went to room 036,and actually there was a woman and two girls in the room... Thank good we just didn't walk in there, what a mess!

The manager then took us to the ladies room, and asked us to change inside the toilet. We did, and I thought to my self, what should we do if women came and started changing when we were e in the toilet? Just stay in there hiding...or?
Well, we managed to change, and get to the pool without beeing surprised by any women. But after some time, when we finished swimming, we wanted to go to changingroom again, but there were worming sitting in there talking, and basically we could not get to our clothing, and get out of there, so we just had to wait until they cleared out.
We rushed in, took all of our clothing, wrapped a towel around us, and rushed out the changingroom. Once out in the hallway, we ran into 4 Chinese turist, that looked quite surprised by the two wet and lightly dressed guys, suddenly standing in front of them.

Well us guys, we can laugh about it, and I am ok with it, but it could have been uncomfortable situation for some women or kids if they came in at the wrong time.

All in all, I think I booked a 4 star hotel with a pool. I think I got a 2 star worn down hotel, basically without a (usable) pool.

This is all from our first 24 hours here, and we have two more nights here. So I would like to know how you think we can find some solution to this situation?

So I wrote to the hotel and let them know all of the above. The returned to me with a full a4 letter from the duty manager, excusing and "explaining". They offered us a voucher for dinner and cocktails in their restaurant, that's of course a noce gesture, but its also kinda a funny, because I am here with two kids, they don't do cocktsils, and ohh we are checking out the day after, so we wouldn't even be able to use the vouchers. One should have thought that the hotel checked this before offering us dinner..... Or wait... Maybe they did

The last time we went for the pool, they did refer to another changingriim, and there were notes on showing the direction, but the door to the area was locked, so not much point in it.

When refusing to accept the vouchers, I asked for late checkout, at
14 Instead of 12, and it was approved by front desk, but any way the housekeeping was knocking on the door 1215.

The hotel get one * for the friendly front desk staff And the second * for the housekeeping staff.
