Since McLaren has taken over the whole healthcare system has become totally inept.. Was treated like an inconvenience at hospital. Had cancer surgery then was told family physician was leaving. Was then seen by a fill in who faxed a majority of my prescriptions in wrong. Called their office and was told on vacation and would have someone look at it.. Office never got back with me. Called numerous times again and finally received a voicemail saying it was to soon for a refill. I never requested a refill for that medication. Can't get in to new doctor because they are full for next two months. In the meantime being without my correct medications I decided to go to walk in fast track at hospital. Even after explaining my situation I was still chastised by nurse and doctor for apparently wasting their time and was given a sheet of physicians, even though I had already mentioned I had a new one who I couldn't get into. Then looking at sheet of physicians they gave me I mentioned that I knew for a fact that quite a few no longer worked for system. They did give me my prescriptions which the doctor changed one saying the dose was too much. Took the prescriptions to my pharmacy and pharmacist looked up the dosage on the medication doctor changed. And yes the doctor was wrong so now left without correct rx again. And icing on the cake was person checking me in. Person had been fired for a HIPA violation a few years back. Somehow was able to get job back at hospital in laundry rather than previous job of unit secretary. And now back checking people in on the computer system-unreal. If you want real health care you have to travel out of Mt. Pleasant. What a shame the whole system here has turned to garbage.
