Brunch review - 4.8/5
Begrudgingly had to come back here for a birthday celebration and had low expectations. Supposedly this restaurant was known more for their brunch so there was hope.
Well, it was literally a night and day difference! The brunch is actually quite good with a wide selection of meats, usual items, and desserts. The waiters were spot on and do not make you feel like you have to cringe. The ones that served us was actually a delight. Waters were always full, even within minutes of getting empty. My pregnant wife even found things she'll eat! I don't know what happened for our dinner that made it a bad experience but the hype for the brunch is real.
Will definitely come back for brunch. Well done.
Upgrading the review to 4-stars.

Previous Dinner Review
This restaurant had a lot of neat things going for it. The atmosphere, the planes, the nice relics on the walls. For some reason however the experience in the end left much to be desired.
We were about 5 minutes early for our reservation and we had to wait a little at the bar for our table. Not even 2 minutes of standing and waiting by the door, a waiter shoved my wife into me and I almost fell over. I brushed it off, thinking maybe she had a bad day but what really soured my mood was that there was not even an "excuse me" or a "pardon me" or even a simple sorry... wow.
Going on. We ordered our food and the waiter had a personality of... to quote a yelp reviewer, "an unfrosted miniwheat". I understand she was trying to be helpful and informative but everytime she talks everyone couldn't help but cringe inwardly as if a puppy was being run over by a monster truck and then reversed back and forth. It all felt really forced. Still left a good tip because she still tended to us well. Just maybe be a little more natural please?
The food. Trout good. Steaks... just like every other restaurant, you ask for medium-rare, you get medium-well... except on a NY Strip as that's the same as asking for a tire and that's rather disappointing because the most expensive items on the menu were steaks. Not to mention the glaze. $2 extra for something that tastes like a powdered mix. It probably was... And then there was the Salmon Souffle... which by their definition was a whole baked salmon steak with possibly some egg, cheese, parmesan, and a little bit of herbs on the top. I'm sorry, that is not a Souffle, maybe try reading some french cooking books? We asked the waiter if she was sure that was a souffle (to which she said of course!) and of course another puppy probably just died underneath the tires of a monster truck.
Well, this was a bummer. I've heard good things about this restaurant but this was a bit underwhelming. Definitely loses on the price for food quality and staff is either rude or forced. Granted it's Father's Day and it was busy which I did not review on because it would be unfair to note we waited 47 minutes for the entrees to come out.
Don't think I'll come back anytime soon.
Well, maybe if I ever feel compelled enough to look at planes taking off again but that's what flight simulators are for.
