One of the finest National Trust properties in the UK. The grounds and the gardens are particularly fine. I have been many time and there is always something new to enjoy. In the stables area there is usually an exhibition of art or ceramics and there is also a restaurant that serves light refreshments of very high standard. The is also an upmarket restaurant near to the main house. There are facilities for the less mobile to get around as there some steep footpaths and gradients.
