While in Monroe LA last May I fell, cutting my head and injuring my right arm and wrist. I was treated at Glenwood Hospital ED where my head laceration was glued, a CT was done, and x-rays were taken. I was told by the doctor that my arm was fine other than some pulled ligaments. They gave me a splint and sent me on my way with no instructions for care. Two months later, still in pain, I saw a local orthopedic surgeon. My distal radius was broken and the wrist ligaments ruptured. I had to have surgery to remove the proximal row of carpels in my wrist and repair done to my ligaments. It has been 5 months of torture. I am now in physical therapy trying to alleviate the pain and recover some use of my hand. I hope the administrators at this facility do something soon about the quality of their service before someone loses their life.
