The Library of Congress is a really neat place to visit in D.C. However, to get into the actual library, you need a reader's card. They don't allow general visitors to just waltz into the library, so if that is something you want, make sure to get a readers card before you go. Otherwisely, you can look above the library from a balcony and observe from there.
