The Atrium Prestige is a true oasis in the otherwi...

The Atrium Prestige is a true oasis in the otherwise somewhat barren southeast of the island of Rhodes. In the truest sense of the word, because the entire area is blooming and green, even in October. You can see dragonflies and butterflies everywhere The whole area is very well maintained and has been lovingly designed. There are great pools. The hotel is a bit out of the way and is great if you are looking for peace and quiet. A rental car is recommended, but can also be booked directly at the hotel.

Despite the many rooms, the Atrium Prestige is not a hotel block, but rather is laid out like a small village. The buildings in which the rooms are located are never higher than 2 floors, whitewashed, overgrown with flowering climbing plants and thus modeled on the Greek villages. The large main building with the atrium also fits in well despite its impressive size.

Without exception, all employees are friendly, courteous and service-oriented. Special thanks go to Elena and Anna from the main restaurant and the lady from housekeeping, who always left us little works of art made of towels :)

There is an open and relaxed, almost friendly relationship between the guests and the staff.

The guests are very mixed: from the smallest to the oldest, everything is there.

Housekeeping takes place mornings and evenings, there are 5 restaurants and a kiosk. The half-board meal was without exception exceptional, varied and very good. For breakfast there is orange juice, water and coffee as much as you like. Drinks are extra at dinner.

We also tried the Italian restaurant once, which we can also recommend. The prices are perfectly okay.

The hotel offers direct access to a private beach with free loungers and umbrellas. A real paradise in contrast to the public beaches on Rhodes, of which we unfortunately only saw dirty and littered ones, where shop after booth and visitors line up like sardines. The water is crystal clear and shallow, but with stones and gravel.

However, we would not recommend Rhodes itself. We usually explore a lot, but everything outside of the hotel was frustrating here. Garbage everywhere, whereby tourists and locals can shake hands - on the beach, in the towns, even in the middle of nowhere, there is disposed garbage. And wherever the opportunity arises, there is one junk stall next to the other. Contrary to our style, we spent the rest of the time on the hotel beach and in the great hotel that virtually saved our vacation.

The only negative point: our room had a connecting door to the neighboring room, for whatever reason, so it was unfortunately more than noisy. You could hear every word that was spoken. And in the first week we unfortunately had a neighbor who watched Russian videos on his cell phone almost around the clock ...

Also, the toilet wasn't 100% clean when we arrived. That was probably due to the fact that we arrived very early because of our flight, well before the regular check-in time, and the housekeeping lady was definitely hurried.

We would recommend the Atrium Prestige to anyone.
