Savitre Gilmar Review of Sun Toyota
I expected my purchasing experience at Sun Toyota ...
I expected my purchasing experience at Sun Toyota to be like most other dealerships very satisfied and (taking a couple of hours at most)...NOT 6 HOURS!!!
The Sales Rep wanted us (my husband and I) to give him a five star review at the onset of our conversation ....before we had an opportunity to choose a vehicle (definitely not cool) I told him that , I usually give a review at the end of the transaction. He was indifferent to my comment and continued to show my husband where to leave the five star review.
Our appointment was at 1:00pm with Aiden. He was paged twice before he met us at 1:15pm. He was very pleasant.
We were interested in theToyota RAV4...we didn t have too many criteria...only two...we want a light color and it must have leather seats.
Some time later, a vehicle was brought to the entrance of the dealership. I was shocked when Aiden showed us a navy RAV4 with cloth seats. I told him that the color and cloth interior are the two things we did not want(in this Florida heat). He said that s what he has on the lot. We went back in and he brought his manager to meet us.
I repeated my concern with vehicle...he asked if that was a deal breaker for us and we both answered yes.
To condense this review, we chose a white 2021 model RAV4. It had cloth seats, but they were willing to replace them with leather. We went back inside very happy. There was a considerable amount of wait time, sitting for very long periods.
When it came to financing, we told Aiden specifically the amount we wanted our monthly payments to be and we agreed on an amount. We arrived at the Finance office and the gentleman, whom my husband had to tell him to make sure his mask covered his nose (COVID-19) said that the monthly payments were $50.00 more than what Aiden quoted us. I was stunned. I reiterated what Aiden told us and the agent said it was the taxes. I wished Aiden had mentioned that beforehand. (I don t like unexpected surprises when it comes to money). Hastily, we proceeded with the deal.
Around 6:20pm Aiden transferred our plates to the new vehicle. He couldn t find one of the keys. He told us to pick up the 2nd set of keys the next day, same time when we speak to detail person who is going to put in the leather seats.
My husband called Aiden the next morning before he went into the dealership to ensure everything was set to go.
When he arrives, he waits approximately 45 minutes. He is then told that the dealership cannot find the second set of keys....and the person who is supposed to look after the leather seats is on lunch. Seriously??? Is this how you run a business???
