Our adventures in St. Louis took us to Illinois to visit an area where Lewis and Clark departed to explore the West. Due to Rona, the place was closed yet you could still walk the buildings where they spent winter before departing West. These buildings were replicas and located in front of the parking lot.The area is open and due to the wind it was a bit challenging. Once we had walked the area, we drove to the approximate departure site next to Mississippi River for this journey. It would have been nice to have a tour guide yet this location is recommended for a family visit.
