Sort of hit or miss. Some times I get this great product that light easily and provides a great bed of coals, other times you have five couples sitting in the back yard as you try to take the last 1/3 of the bag of charcoal only to find it is basically very fine charcoal dust that just won t light. One friend tried to warn me as I took out the bag of royal oak, but I wouldn t listen. I now am listening. Quality control is non existent
