I did my B.Tech(Hons.) in Electrical Engineering from REC Calicut in 1986. That time it had only core branches. Now it has grown up in terms of branches. The college was very good academically as well as with abundant greenery, natural ambience etc. There were little problem regarding food in mess as it was mainly rice based. Therefore lot of north indian students used to take break from mess in between. Also being in far off location in down south, very few companies used to visit our campus for recruitment in those days. However the study atmosphere was very good and I could focus on studies and secured my degree with Honours. I am always indebted to my college who made me an engineer.
