Me and the hubs came here on a Saturday for the "Roast of Mayor Brown & Friends" Ummm...Well I'll get to my beef with that shortly. This was my 1st time in the Tralf although I've heard about it before. Not to mention my COUNTLESS visits downstairs at Sue's Deli. (I miss them dearly since I no longer work downtown) It's one level up by either stairs or elevator. The entrance is pretty spacious and kind of gave me an older Shea's feel. Once you enter into the main room there are lots of tables and a bar/counter for ordering food and drinks. Hubs wanted to sit in the front section that was closer to the stage, so upon entering that section the ONLY tables left were the tables up front by the STAGE. Now everyone knows you DON'T sit near the stage during a Comedy Roast! Or a comedy event at all for that matter. So the show starts and we notice that this roast is 70% more on the audience than the actual Mayor & Friends. FORTUNATELY Hubs and I survived the show with no one dissing us!!! The menu prices were kinda high considering the portion size. Spent $30 and left hungry...Grrrrr. But for our 1st experience, it was a good time. Next time we will get there early to get a seat further away in the shadows!!!
