My Mother lost her eyesight to macular degeneration. She used the association in the beginning to help her use magnifying glasses and technology and Talking Books. They taught her how to use an iPad to email so she could stay in touch with friends and family and use the internet to find out about her flowers or how to take care of her cat. She was a vibrant and inspiring woman. She enjoyed reading with the talking books for decades and when her vision was gone she still could read and talk about what she read. They helped her keep her sanity until she died at the age of 99. She was always grateful for the assistance they provided. I can t thank them enough.
