I used to love this place a lot. Coming here was like taking a trip to Asia - everyone spoke Cantonese. It's still a decent place to enjoy dim sum, although the quality seems to have gone down over the years. Compared to other smaller dim sum restaurants, the preparation of the food and the flavors are just not quite spot-on.
Service has always been sub-par. I'm one of those who needs lots of chilli sauce with my dim sum. And for some reason, they're so stingy with the condiment.
The restaurant is also leaking water from the ceiling and air-conditioning, taking away from the experience of dining at a restaurant.
It's still the busiest dim sum restaurant and has the widest selection of all the dim sum places on O ahu. At peak times, there's always a long line to get seated.
Prices are moderate and parking is ample in the Chinese Cultural Center. Fun place to dine with family.
