Beware of Tom Varga! I am a Realtor (licensed since 2001) who contacted Tom about a new listing of his right after it came on MLS (multiple listing service). He was the rudest agent I have ever spoke to (after I told him I was a Realtor). Tom said he didn't have the key to it (?) and I asked him to call me when he did...several days go by...no call from Tom...no response to my inquires. I guess he got sick of hearing from me so Tom Finally called to tell me he still doesn't have the key, but somehow someone got into to a secure gated community (I've been there), saw the unit, and now the condo is under contract....he laughingly told me "sorry." He probably first secured himself the buyer so he could collect the listing & selling commission (5-6%) & who cares about getting his seller the highest price for the home and maybe getting multiple offers and having the condo sell over asking price. As a seasoned Realtor, I deal with unscrupulous, unethical, and shady Realtors like Tom on a regular basis. I have found when they are "shady"...they are shady all over...listing, selling, prices, home values, negotiations, closings, making promises to sellers just to get listings, giving false information (formerly called lies)...you name it. Their game is about getting themselves paid as much as possible at YOUR expense. Read the reviews from his past customers on Trulia.
