The mansion was beautiful and a must see, but I really enjoyed the education center. The only thing I could have done without was the woman employee who first barked at my sister who squatting because that's how she's comfortable waiting in one spot for a period of time, but instead yelled "no sitting!" at an 11 year old. Once in the theater she yelled at me "you're cheating" for where I sat even though I sat next to the two women who were ahead of me in line and I didnt want to go down lower because I need ankle surgery and my ankle was acting up. She continued to basically yell at everyone else too. She was the really the only drawback to the 4D experience movie or anything at Mt Vernon.
