After 3 years of doing business with Dave Smith I received a letter today saying that he wants to send me to a different CPA. This comes after paying him $400 promptly each year to do my individual tax return. Dave said in his letter that my return isn t complex enough. In other words he s too big time and too much of a prima donna to help me any longer. Dave didn t have the courage to tell me this over the phone. In fact I just had a recent conversation with SSC accountant Alan Dierker and everything seemed fine. Don t believe this company s mission statement. It s an absolute joke. I found out in a letter that I m just a number to them. Rather than help me succeed, like they claim to do, they tried to pawn me off to someone else. Please take your business elsewhere.. Some place where it will actually be appreciated and they won t kick you to the curb because your taxes aren t complex enough, meaning they don t make enough money off you to want to do your taxes. Good riddance Dave. I have full confidence that I can find someone on my own to help me with my taxes rather than listen to your cowardly recommendation to a complete stranger.
