Came into labour at 27 weeks after twice attending...

Came into labour at 27 weeks after twice attending UCLH hospital the previous night with concerns about reduced fetal movement. I woke up in the morning bleeding and rushed to Northwick Park maternity department.

I was scared due to the hospital s bad reputation. To cut a long story short. My baby Was delivered by great doctors and the neonatal team were on standby and were amazing. I haemorrhaged badly and required a blood transfusion. The doctors were on standby and I could not have received better care anywhere else.

The hospital is an eyesore and my experience of THE. A&E DEPARTMENT is terrible. I avoid it at all costs where possible and this is why I was scared of giving birth at Northwick Park.

My baby was taken care of in the neonatal unit and every nurse and doctor were a credit to the NHS and delivered amazing care to all of the babies. Unfortunately due to lack of money from the health trust the neonatal unit severely lacks chairs, and other necessities to make your stay by your babies cot a comfy one like other neonatal units located in inner London.

The neonatal unit also seems to lack charity which I m surprised by and feel is very sad.

I will be eternally grateful to the maternity/neonatal team for saving my baby and my life.
