No Stars. When spending your money you want to feel like you are appreciated as a customer, better yet a Human Being.

My mother saw a homeless man on her way to enjoy a movie in Harbor East. The man politely asked if she could help him get something to eat and of course she obliged. She asked where he wanted to eat and he said that he really liked the food in the Harbor East Deli. She took him, and told him to order whatever he liked. The man behind the counter, when asked the cost of a particular slice of pizza, looked at my mother and the gentlemen with disgust. He did not want to service them. They finally got through their order, the homeless gentlemen went to get his fountain drink , and then a security guard/ police walked in. Somehow, the disgusted person behind the counter called the authorities on a paying customer that did nothing but help a man who expressed his hunger. He did not bother anyone else in the establishment. He was grateful to my mother for purchasing a meal that would satisfy his hunger.

My mother addressed the security guard to get a clear understanding of what was actually happening and why he was there in the first place. The guard tells her " You KNOW better (as if she is a child), this is the MONEY district". How shameful. Harbor East will not be a recipient of my funds unless their business mission is in servitude to the community as a whole.
