Because we had a late booking for our otherwise very enjoyable Afternoon Tea yesterday afternoon at 4.30pm, it meant that we arrived at the bus pick-up point just before 6pm and caught the second from last bus to take us back to the car park. Having just got off the bus at the drop-off point we were very concerned when at 6pm all the lighting in the car park was switched off leaving us in complete darkness before we had a chance to get to our cars. There were a number of elderly folk on our bus who were struggling to pick they way through the car park in the dark, trying to avoid tripping over the raised kerbing. Surely it would be safer and more intelligent to have allowed enough time for those who were on the last few buses to get into their vehicles before switching off. .
