I don't know what all the hype is about. The host interaction was weird. It's like he hated his job. There is a main dining area, then a side room where the bar is. Wish I asked to move. Felt isolated. Not inviting at all during lunch. The tables down the center and back of the main restaurant was empty, so I'm not even sure why they open that side room for dining.

The guy who dropped the water, when I asked what Georgie's Grill are known for, he said, "a lot" and walked away. Are you serious??? Um dude, that's lame.

The server took a while to come over and when she did, she just seemed spacey and unengaged. Like hurry up and order type attitude.

They charge for bread during lunch. I assume bread comes with dinner based off her answer. I asked, is there a charge for bread? She said, "yes, for lunch there is a 1.25 charge for half the loaf." It ended up costing 1.75, not 1.25.

So you might be better off ordering the chowder in the bread bowl. 10.50. Maybe ask to separate the bread bowl from the chowder so you get the whole loaf. Cause I paid $9 for bowl of chowder and only HALF of the bread loaf.

I only ordered the bowl of chowder since other reviews said the chowder is great. It was heavy, but good flavor. Order 1/2 side of bread. Again = $9

Hubby opted for the Diablo pasta. = $15.95

Diablo pasta was good as well as the chowder.

Disappointed that service was not great. Ambience in the side room was uninviting. Host and first impression, subpar. Interaction with water guy/guy bussing tables, annoying. Server, unengaged.

Just wouldn't recommend going out of your way like we did to eat here.
