It was like a chef gave them the most pretentious, kitschy, trendy menu but never tasted any recipe to see if it was actually edible. Only good thing was the wine, the server and the view. Super cliche. Late. Forgetful. Cheetos on a lukewarm, runny white mac and cheese? $15 cheese plate with four soda crackers and dinner rolls at $1 a piece. Cheapos! Hard dense waffles. Brick pork tacos. How do you fumble a taco so badly? How about some trout on your salad? To drive 20 miles in the country for your birthday dinner and be served this embarrassing mess almost made me cry. And then to be comped almost everything you ordered, really didn't make either us feel any better. It's not about the money! Make your customers a simple, fresh, farm to table meal and be generous . It's not that difficult. We came to spend money not be comped. It's insulting and awkward. How about a simple delicious steak, potatoes and veggies. It's just not that hard. So pretentious!
