My mother & I went to the ER the other day cause she was having bad chest pains. So we get there & the people at the front desk were very polite, that is until we got back to triage. The nurse was so rude to my mom it was disgraceful all because my mom has COPD an didnt bring her oxygen! I'm sorry but the last thing either one of us was thinking about was grabbing her portable oxygen WE THOUGHT SHE WAS HAVING A HEARTATTACK! Anyways they eventually diagnosed her with pneumonia, so they gave her antibiotics and sent us on our way. We were told to go back if it got worse an it did so we went back an all was well until RN Vedelia came to administer meds. She was extremely rough when she gave her a med through the IV, my mom said it hurt and asked her to pleasr not be so rough! Well her response was, "Do you want your meds or not?!" I couldn't believe it. Then they decided to keep her for observation, so after 2hrs they finally got her in a room. They were supposed to be giving her breathing treatments every 4hrs but instead they never returned to her room so I finally just told my mother this is it I'm coming to take you home so she walked out! I will never ever take my mother here again I don't care if she's on the verge of death I refuse. I Wouldn't recommend taking your loved ones there either not if you want them to be treated humanely.
