My eighty something mom took her 09 Avalon in for service. What an experience. My cynical self says they saw her coming and decided to take advantage of her trust in Toyota. They recommended an air system sanitizing and an induction cleaning on top of replacing the tires they sold her. As best as I can tell neither the induction cleaning and sanitizing recommendations were based on anything actually recommended by Toyota. The tires which were sold to her by the dealership lasted only 22K miles, that is very bad performance. I am actively looking for new tires in the area from a higher quality vendor.

My mom's comment sums it up. This dealership which she has trusted is now a place you have to watch.
