Fool me once.

Fool me once.

This review is for the green room and not the Castaways itself. The green room is their private area...sorta like a VIP room.

First the pros....
This place is beautiful! Its elegantly designed.
They just completed a multimillion dollar renovation and it shows! The view of the San Fernando Valley below is breathtaking. Visually, you won't be disappointed.

Now the Cons...
The price and menu are both ridiculous, laughable really. They dont serve any main course meals. Everything is finger food type dishes. Extremely small portions for such an inflated price. The moment you walk in they greet you with a complimentary glass of something disgusting. Tastes like black liquorice. Who likes the taste of black liquorice? I think they give you that so they can simply get rid of it. yuk!! The drinks are horrendous. Its like 3 parts liquor and 1 part colored water. ALL OF THE DRINKS TASTE LIKE THIS. Doesn't matter what you order, the mix is terrible. Some of the women in our party resorted to ordering beer because of how harsh these drinks were. Theres no way any woman would like a drink that tastes like gasoline. (beer is not on the menu in the greenroom btw. They had to walk over to the main bar to get it ) We tried sending the 1st drink back because it was not what we thought we were ordering and instead of them taking it away and asking us what the problem was, they were looking at ways to add ingredients to it to make us keep it. We spent close to $1000 and yet our party still had to find a place to eat at the end of the night down the hill. After all that money spent to still feel hungry says something about this place. I don't see this green room getting much repeat business. I recommend you stick to the Castaways restaurant itself and steer clear from this green room. Atleast you'll get to eat a full meal.
