Barstow, California had a solar power plant in the 1980s, which was upgraded in the 1990's to an almost completely different technology. Yet it was demolished in 2009.
I wonder how long this will last and how much we borrowed to "invest" again in this type of energy. I hope it works and is cost effective.
Too bad the reflections kill anything flying over it and I hope it doesn't cause too many plane crashes from blinding pilots.
If it worked, why was it demolished in 2009 near Barstow (Daggot)? What were the negatives and what didn't work.
All we know is that sandstorms and clouds shut it down.
