Built in 1737 by the will of Charles of Bourbon, the first king of Naples of this dynasty, it is the oldest theater in the world.
Rebuilt after a fire in 1816 in the neoclassical style, it was and is the reference point of music in Europe.
Here the first of many works by composers such as Vincenzo Bellini, Gaetano Donizetti and director of the theater were also unveiled, was Gioacchino Rossini.

The interiors are manicured, the chairs are elegant, the acoustics are excellent.
Every work represented there takes on a very special charm.
Guided tours are possible to discover this wonderful theater with very good and prepared guides.
The production of this theater is very prolific with numerous events on the bill, both opera, ballet, and concerts.

In my opinion, the visit to Naples must include a day in the theater.
