I recently stayed at a hostel I found online. It was a decent experience overall. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the facilities were clean. The common areas were comfortable, but there wasn't much of a social atmosphere. Although the hostel provided a decent place to stay, I wouldn't say it was anything exceptional.
